We cannot stress enough how much we believe in using birthdays and holidays to gift your family members (and yourself, oh yaaaaaa) gear to enable you to go outside. We’ve done it for years and for our kiddos specifically, it has paid off immensely.

Last year, NBWdad gifted all the kiddos snowshoes.

Did they ask for snowshoes? No.

Were they disappointed? No.

Did they know what snowshoes were? Yes, they had seen Dad and Mom’s

Did they wish you would have gotten something for them they actually asked for? Nope

Have they even used them? Yes, three times last season
